| Now that the analog shutdown has been completed.. full- power television stations are broadcasting only in digital. If you use "rabbit ears" or a rooftop antenna with your analog television, you must purchase a converter box to receive television broadcasts. Applications for coupons worth $40 will be honored by the government through July 31,st, 2009. A converter box is a one-time purchase that will allow your analog TV to continue receiving television broadcasts. Certified TV converter boxes cost around $60. If you already have your converter box or a television with a digital tuner you should rescan for additional channels which may be available starting June 12th, 2009. |
